HOUSE FOR 5 IN OLHÃO "This early 20th-century house was once a fisherman’s home, a traditional type of dwelling deeply rooted in Olhão’s identity, with its white façades accented with blue, clean lines and distinctive cubic shapes. The blue of the house reflects Olhão’s signature colour, while the Santa Catarina floor tiles, handmade at a local factory just 15 kilometres away, bring a touch of regional craftsmanship to every room. Inside, natural light fills the house, with high ceilings, warm materials and carefully chosen details. The idea was to create a home that feels welcoming from the very first moment — neither overly decorative nor too minimalist. A house with soul, where you can truly feel at home for the duration of your stay. On the rooftop, the tanque pool opens onto a panorama of white rooftops and blue skies — the quintessential view of Olhão, suspended between land and sea. Three terraces punctuate the house, each with its own character: the ground-floor patio for cool mornings, the first-floor terrace for reading in the shade, and the rooftop for long evenings under the stars. Olhão is a town that tourists still tend to pass through too quickly, but one that those who stop often find hard to leave. The covered market, ferries to the islands of the Ria Formosa and restaurants serving fresh fish are all just a few minutes’ walk away. It is a lively, local and authentic town. Exactly the way we like it." Frank & Véronique
