5-ROOM GUEST HOUSE WITH POSSIBILITY OF EXCLUSIVE HIRE - "Le Domaine Céladon is ideally situated at the immediate crossroads of four departments: the Gard, the Ardèche, the Vaucluse, and the Drôme nearby. Originally from Lyon, we visited this 1850 manor house in May 2017 on a rainy day — it had been uninhabited for several years. It was love at first sight for the charm of this U-shaped estate sheltered from the mistral. After a few brief hesitations, we rolled up our sleeves and embarked on a full renovation. As a painter, I played with a palette of greys and greens, colouring and modernising furniture found at flea markets. Hervé, passionate about construction, took over an old cellar to set up his workshop. We opened in July 2018, and wonderful encounters have blossomed, particularly around the table d'hôtes we offer on certain evenings. You can make the most of our various spaces to recharge in complete serenity, whether you are travelling solo, as a couple, or with friends. We will serve you a generous breakfast under the medlar trees. You can read on our Moroccan-inspired rooftop terrace, play pétanque on our boules court in the cottage garden, meditate by our spring-water pool with its fountain, or lounge beside our polished concrete swimming pool that evokes the atmosphere of a Greek ruin — equally transporting. Close to the estate, a wealth of choices and activities also awaits you. You will visit three of the most beautiful villages in France — Aigueze, La Roque sur Cèze with its Sautadet waterfalls, and Montclus — as well as Uzès or Avignon. You can canoe down the Ardèche or the Cèze, or explore caves (Chauvet, the Aven d'Orgnac…). Le Domaine Céladon is also available for exclusive hire, and we can assist with the organisation of a celebration or a seminar. We look forward to welcoming you." - Patricia and Hervé
