9 HOUSES FOR RENT 15 MINUTES FROM THE SEA AND ITS WILD BEACHES - "A true little hamlet, bathed in a gently rustic atmosphere with a lovely Irish touch: such is the setting of these 'little houses on the prairie'... Located between the Bay of Saint-Brieuc and the port of Paimpol, just 15 minutes from the sea and the GR34 coastal path, time spent here will revive your soul! Each of the nine unique holiday homes and converted barns has been responsibly restored and renovated by the husband-and-wife team Corentin and Liz Lamour since they took over the grandparents' farm. These ultra-cosy gîtes all have a private garden and access to a wood-fired sauna hidden in the woods. Thanks to Liz's love of interior design and her collection of vintage treasures, each gîte has its own distinct style, while Corentin's original reuse of pieces of scrap metal, wood, and other salvaged treasures has added an unusual touch. In a nod to their history, these very individual child-friendly buildings have all been named after their original occupants: Rose, Louise, Joséphine, Jeanne, Anne, Florence & Isidore... While Corentin looks after the buildings and the farm's friendly herd of cows, Liz loves taking care of the holiday guests — she can deliver a delicious breakfast basket on request, including freshly baked local bread and pastries, as well as homemade juices and jams. The breakfast basket is complemented by scones, Irish shortbread, or another homemade cake of the day. Everything is delivered to the door of each house early in the morning. Liz can also recommend seaside restaurants, where to buy seafood, where to go for a walk, and point you toward her favourite antique markets. If you feel like cooking, she will direct you to the many food markets — and you can help yourself from the kitchen garden and greenhouse, where you can also find herbs, salad leaves, and even edible flowers. Whether you are looking for a romantic escape in the heart of nature or a place where children can enjoy a little freedom and plenty of fresh air, this charming hamlet is an ideal destination to slow down and unwind for a week... or more." - Liz Photo credits: © ludivine le cornec, © imagezvous, © oriane badoual, © a girl named sarah
