5-ROOM GUESTHOUSE AND A GÎTE - "Between Crest and Valence, La Grande Maison is a charming guesthouse, ideally located between the Drôme valley and the Provençal Drôme, 15 minutes from Valence TGV station and the A7 motorway. This magnificent 19th-century building, entirely renovated by the former architect owners, comprises 3 double rooms and 2 family rooms which, thanks to their generous proportions and comfort, allow guests to fully enjoy a calm and convivial stay. Since summer 2022, the conversion of the old dovecote has given way to an independent duplex gîte sleeping up to 8, also featuring a lovely 20 m² terrace. La Grande Maison is set in a 4,000 m² park with a direct view of the Vercors. Since December 2019, Audrey and Séverine, two sisters, along with Jérôme (Séverine's partner), have taken over the guesthouse. They bring a genuine sense of hospitality and a desire to share, ensuring your stay is as pleasant as possible. Passionate about cooking and mindful of environmental quality, they will offer you local produce that is organic or sustainably farmed wherever possible. A continental breakfast is served from 7am to 10am on the terrace, sheltered by the chestnut tree when weather permits, or in the dining room. An authentic and generous table d'hôtes is also offered with a full dinner (aperitif, starter, main course, cheese, dessert, drinks included) on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On other evenings, you can enjoy bistronomy boards composed of an assortment of charcuterie, cheeses, a vegetable velouté or crudités, a spread, multigrain bread and a homemade dessert. A fully equipped, independent shared kitchen, peaceful and set in a vaulted room of 55 m², is also at your disposal for cooking and dining indoors or outside on the terrace. From spring onwards, you can relax beside a saltwater pool (12x4m) facing the Vercors, heated and secure. Various games are also available, whether at the pool area (beach rackets, badminton set, volleyballs, football with mini goal, frisbee) or in the park (pétanque, croquet, mölkky). In the off-season, you will have the pleasure of enjoying a real 15-seat cinema room with several hundred DVDs at your disposal, or the possibility of connecting via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi and projecting the video of your choice. It is also possible to rent the entire house including the gîte, for a maximum capacity of 24 guests. For professional stays, La Grande Maison also offers tailor-made packages for seminars, team-building events and stopover evenings.
