HOUSE FOR RENT FOR 9 PEOPLE - There is a family behind the Maison des 11 Ecluses: us (Mélanie & Ludovic) and our 3 children. We fell in love with the natural and historic site of the 11 locks in 2018. At that time, the beautiful century-old locks were already there, the canal too, but the house itself bore the marks of its 200 years of life… We put our hearts and our time into it and renovated everything! We tried to preserve the charm of the site while bringing modern comfort. In this house, nothing is straight, nothing is perfect, but everything has a story: the fireplace, the stones, the beams, the bathroom cabinet and the staircase have not moved. We simply gave them a new look to bring out their beauty. We chose soft tones and materials that make you feel immediately at ease, just like home. You can choose to admire the canal and the barges from the comfort of your bed, or set out to explore the bucolic surroundings: the canal towpath starts right at the gîte, where you will encounter walkers, cyclists, horse riders and boaters, each at their own pace. By car, you can discover the other iconic landmarks of the region: Rennes, the capital of Brittany; the ramparts of St Malo, the corsair city; the grand bourgeois houses of Dinard, the imposing Cap Fréhel, and so many other wonders we are privileged to have nearby. We may be lucky enough to cross paths with you during your stay, but we are sometimes "off on our travels". That is why we have entrusted the management of this gîte to Marie Conciergerie, to ensure you always get a prompt answer to your questions whenever you need one. In a word, this is a place of bucolic charm, where interior design blends with peaceful nature.
