5-BEDROOM GUESTHOUSE "La maison Plûme is a charming guesthouse on the banks of the Seine in a small romantic village called Villequier, known for its connection to Léopoldine Hugo, the daughter of Victor Hugo. A former Hôtel de France, this is where Guillaume Apollinaire and Marie Laurencin once stayed: 'What exquisite hours spent on this shaded terrace,' wrote Louise Faure Favier in her work 'Souvenirs sur Apollinaire.' By the water's edge, close to the sea and the forests, it is the ideal place to recharge over a weekend. If you choose a 'detox' stay, you will only receive your room key in exchange for your mobile phone, tablet...! There is of course no television in the rooms! The Wi-Fi code will only be given on request! What's more, the mobile network is rather unreliable. The 5 rooms are decorated with a passion for colour and vintage finds; three of them enjoy a breathtaking view over the Seine, as does the breakfast room. Breakfast itself is 80% gluten-based and made with local produce from Normandy! Normandy, beloved Normandy… close to the cliffs of Etretat, Honfleur, hidden little beaches, beautiful abbeys, and châteaux — we will share our favourite addresses with you… In spring you will share the house with swallows, in summer with the lovely wisteria, in autumn with the gentle mist, and in winter with our delightful Norman rain. Every day you will savour the ballet of light on the Seine, a tireless spectacle accompanied by the passage of boats sailing up the river." - Simon - Photos: PAM STUDIO and NOLWEEN PERNIN
