HOUSE FOR RENT FOR 8 PEOPLE - POSSIBILITY TO RENT BY THE ROOM ON REQUEST "As an interior designer based in Paris with a deep love for Provence, I planned to find my 'project house' in 2019. It was ultimately this 1830 house that would tick every box: La Perroya, a village house in the heart of the charming old village of Visan, in the Enclave des Papes. A Vaucluse gem nestled in the Drôme Provençale, ideally located between Vaison-la-Romaine and Grignan. Beyond the region's classic tourist attractions nearby, the house is a perfect starting point for long or short hikes. Beautiful in every season, particularly stunning in November when the vineyards turn red. The weeks are also punctuated by local markets, the truffle market in Richerenches from December to mid-March, as well as numerous flea markets and antique fairs — activities I never tire of! Many young chefs have also set up in the area, offering a wonderful selection of restaurants. You can also enjoy a pastis sheltered by a plane tree, cooled by the fountain, at the Café du Centre on the charming village square in Villedieu. There are also plenty of food shops in the area, but here we source exclusively from the Estau farm in Visan for seasonal fruits and vegetables and free-range poultry. And then there is the wine — organic, biodynamic, natural. The house embodies 25 years of professional experience, the work of extraordinary craftsmen, countless hours of labour, years of treasure hunting, and objects brought back from travels in Africa, India, Brazil… After months of renovation, ancient terracotta tiles reappeared, new floors add a touch of modernity, a saltwater pool has emerged from the ground, and the 4 bedrooms now exist, spread across the first and second floors of the house: some overlook the church square, others the inner courtyard. From the first floor, a walkway leads to the large panoramic terrace, ideal for a refreshing end-of-day moment and to enjoy a long sunset over the Rhône Valley, comfortably settled in a sun lounger. Breakfast is generally served in the courtyard during fine weather, sheltered by the mulberry tree, and on cooler days at the large table in the living room. On request, it is possible to enjoy sharing platters or to arrange table d'hôtes dinners. Traditional meals or tastings of local products and natural regional wines — various options are available according to your wishes!" - Agathe
