70 rue de Costo Caoudo, 84160, Cucuron, France
SMALL 30M² APARTMENT FOR 2 PEOPLE - NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN - NO AIR CONDITIONING «Welcome to 70 rue Costo Caoudo, which means warm slope in Provençal! Let me introduce my little haven, which was a real challenge for me! Located on the south side of the village, the apartment was used as agricultural storage in the last century. It became a painter's studio in the 1940s, before finally being left to rest for a few years. The potential was there, and I threw myself into renovating this completely unique space. My goal was to create a warm and comfortable place within this 30m² tunnel, with only an entrance door and a small window as openings. What immediately won me over was the vaulted ceiling, which gives it the feel of a Mediterranean cave dwelling. Aged materials, vintage finds and designer pieces were brought in to dress and structure the space. The original terracotta floor tiles were preserved, and the walls were plastered with off-white plaster, which gently unified the volumes and lines while, above all, bringing all the light this place so needed. The walls of the house are so thick that the temperature inside is pleasant in both summer and winter. It is an ideal place to come and recharge, to take time for yourself, to read, to disconnect, to simply do nothing. You will feel as though you are in a bubble. Take the time to discover this beautiful, authentic village in the southern Luberon, where you can admire the famous pond alongside which you can enjoy a delicious ice cream! » - Clotilde
