It was only natural that we turned to Auvergne, where my husband was born. After some searching, we fell in love with this 1850 winemaker's house, its village, its inhabitants and its surroundings. We sought to create a unique place, at the crossroads between a charming hotel and a bed & breakfast, the authentic and the contemporary, the natural and the colorful, the refined and the playful. Mindful of our ecological impact, the new furniture as well as the bed linen is eco-responsible. Wishing to support the local economic and social fabric, we opted for solid soaps and shampoos made in the village. We also collaborate with masseuses who come to the house by appointment for treatments. The 2,000 m² garden will allow you to escape, doze under a tree, take a dip in the pool or try your hand at pétanque. Board games are available, as well as books about the region and a foosball table for lively matches. We are ideally located in a small, authentic village and you will find several hiking trails right at the doorstep. You will also be close to some very beautiful natural sites in Auvergne: the listed village of Montpeyroux 5 minutes away, Lake Pavin, Lake Chambon and the Vallée des Fées 20 minutes away, the Puy de Dôme 30 minutes away and the Super Besse ski resort 35 minutes away. We are also 15 minutes from the cheese route, including the village of Saint-Nectaire, and surrounded by excellent restaurants, including a Michelin-starred one fifteen minutes from the house.
