HOUSE FOR RENT FOR 8 PEOPLE "While we were living in Geneva, we fell in love with this house, in this place where we used to come to recharge almost every month — the port of Doëlan. I was born here, Bastien fell under the spell of the place, we feel so at home here. We took the plunge, helped by my parents who oversaw the renovation on-site. And so Le Lodge de Keruster was born: a lovely house with a magnificent view over the ocean and the island of Groix. The Lodge is in Doëlan, a typical small Breton port. The coastal path is right in front of the house. The iconic green lighthouse is just steps away, and the large sandy beaches are a 5-minute drive, with a surf school, sailing, tennis lessons, and an equestrian farm. The wonderful art galleries of Pont-Aven are 15 minutes away by car. There are also 2 golf courses within 30 minutes of the house. For sailing enthusiasts, there is the Éric Tabarly Sailing Centre in Lorient. Then there is the Gulf of Morbihan to the south, Bénodet to the north, and the Glénan Islands. The Lodge is perfectly situated not far from all these remarkable sites, to enjoy the ocean comfortably and simply. There is a truly special atmosphere at Le Lodge de Keruster — soothing when the ocean is calm, invigorating during storms. In winter, you almost feel like you're in a lighthouse. It is a fully renovated house that we wanted to enhance while preserving the simplicity of the place. We wanted to create a home for living and experiencing life to the fullest — savouring local produce, running on the beach, diving, lounging in the sun in the garden, meditating while gazing at the ocean, in short: LIVING. There is every modern comfort. We recently had a baby girl and designed this house with her and families in mind. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor (each with a 160×200 bed) with a shower room. On the first floor you find the living area with a large landing at the entrance, the kitchen, the living room and access to a huge terrace and a charming small balcony. Then on the second floor there are 2 bedrooms (a master suite with an extraordinary view and a 160 bed, and the 'children's' bedroom which can also accommodate 2 adults as it has 2 beds of 80×200) with a large bathroom with ocean views. The house can comfortably accommodate 2 families. We have taken care to create separate spaces to respect everyone's privacy. We do not offer table d'hôtes but will happily share our favourite addresses — restaurants, places where we go to find fresh seafood, and almost-private beaches. Shops are accessible a 5-minute drive away in the village of Clohars-Carnoët, and there is a market on Saturday mornings. We hope our guests will feel as happy here as we do." — Anaëlle & Bastien
