5 COTTAGES WITH AUTHENTIC CHARM IN THE HEART OF THE PAYS D'AUGE – In the heart of the Pays d'Auge, surrounded by its manor houses and stud farms, not far from the Normandy coast (Deauville, Trouville, Honfleur, the Normandy Bridge, Cabourg and the D-Day beaches), we offer five charming guest houses in a unique and peaceful setting, with exceptional comfort where you will love to unpack your bags for a weekend with family or friends, doing nothing but savoring the moment, recharging at the Spa in the Nordic bath and hammam, then after a massage surrendering to daydreams by the fireside. "Le Pré des Colombiers" offers you a perfect blend of authenticity, tranquility and open spaces; a perfect symbiosis between old architecture and modern comfort. A change of scenery guaranteed from the moment you pass through the gate. A cozy address in winter with its grand fireplaces while frost has frozen the estate, cool in summer thanks to the old stones, its apple orchard and the well-wooded park. As a lover of Norman heritage, I personally took charge of the renovation work on the estate, careful to preserve its charm and authenticity by favoring noble and antique reclaimed materials. Half-timbering, exposed beams, linen fabrics in dominant shades of taupe, grey and beige bring the finishing touch to this impeccable Norman-style interior décor. Since happiness is only real when shared, Monique and I — who love browsing antique shops and flea markets in the region — place all our finds at the heart of the guest house furnishings. Numerous paintings and many portraits bring intimacy and the delightful, reassuring illusion that, like a true family home, the building has known several generations. Raw materials and vintage furniture — it is an understatement to say one feels truly at ease at Le Pré des Colombiers. Our guests come from all over the world and, in exchange for a moment of gentle conviviality, we share our respective cultures, reminding ourselves that "Happiness is an art of living" — Monique & Didier
