RIAD FOR RENT FOR 14 PEOPLE - "The birds at the fountain, the smell of Attica our cook's msemen crêpes, the call of the Muezzin, the sun streaming through the shutters, the branches of the jacaranda swaying in the breeze... time slows down, as if cut off from the effervescent medina, a true source of inspiration and fascination for travelers. Antique furniture and family paintings passed down from generation to generation sit alongside objects discovered on journeys across Morocco — here, every piece has a story. Binebine is a riad with the feel of a family home, with a patio and a flowering garden, a unique place in the medina of Marrakech. Several terraces for reading, meditating, sipping mint tea, playing cards... Pools to cool off in, long tables for gathering around the Friday couscous... The tangia that has been simmering since this morning, delicious pomegranate juices accompanied by dates, and not forgetting the winter evenings around the fireplace putting the world to rights, together. Outside, street vendors, thousands of cats, doors you want to push open, craftsmen, motorbikes, bicycles, hidden fondouks, winding derbs, tourists and Marrakchis... And then pink, earth red, and ochre, everywhere — a multicolored city, as my son says. Give in and let yourself be carried away by discoveries around every corner. One piece of advice for discovering this city: let go and let the magic take effect. Being able to come together for special occasions while preserving your need for intimacy, and living each at your own pace in a house with a soul — that is what we wanted to recreate at Riad Binebine. You feel at ease immediately without being able to explain why: a particular atmosphere, the magic of Marrakech, and of course the discreet service of the housekeepers that allows us to simply enjoy without a care for tomorrow." - Chloé - Photos: Benoit Bost
